Who are the most disciplined people you know/look up to? [Answered]

My enemy, someone I hated 10 years ago. He was a gaming, nicotine, drug, and alcohol addict. He was Depressed, the world was against him, and had no future. He had a gf that loved him, but he could not reciprocate as much as he tried.

He decided to do something about it. He found a therapist. Quit gaming first, which took 6 months. Then he began journaling everyday. Once he built that habit, he began meditating daily for 10m. Then he started working out 15m 3x a week. Just push-ups and sit ups. He began managing calories since he was overweight. He then cut off drugs, vape, and alcohol, which took over a thousand failures and 5 years to overcome. Began reading a lot. Then he ramped up meditation to 1/hr daily, 3 1hr workouts a week, and began rebuilding his resume and social skills. That had countless failures too and self sabotage. 10 years later, he overcame Depression and is filled with inner joy that can’t be affected by external factors anymore, no longer has bad habits like drugs, alcohol, screen time, or gaming, has a great job, became a great partner where his gf was shocked and so happy at his growth. Continues his practice of continually improving his mind, body, and spirit everyday. He stuck with his personal development for 10 years, failed, learned, and grew his way to achieving everything he wanted, which was to find inner, imperturbable joy and become a wonderful partner to the woman he loves.

He is one of my best friends now (the other is my wife). I finally learned to love him for who he is. He’s me.
